As many of you are aware An Garda Siochana are planning 4 days of 'withdrawal of service' this month - November the 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th.
Along with this 'withdrawal of service' no doubt many people will use this to their advantage. So we decided to put together some tips on how to be prepared and extra vigilant to ensure your protection.
- When it comes to your home; make sure doors are locked behind you, windows are locked and alarms are set even when you are inside.
- When you are out and about be aware of your surroundings and who is around you. Make sure your handbag is zipped closed. Do not Keep your phone or wallet in your hand, when you are finished with it pop it into your bag or pocket.
- While you are driving ensure the doors are locked from the inside. Please make sure handbags and valuable belongings are kept out of view.
Not only are these great tips for the comings month of 'withdrawal of service' days but in general going forward. Be aware of your surroundings and your own personal security.
